Snowflake Challenge: Day 6

Fandom Snowflake Challenge banner

Day 6

In your own space, create your own challenge. What’s something you want to see more people doing in fandom? Is there something you’ve tried that you think other people would enjoy if they gave it a go? Dare your friends to try it out, and have fun with it. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

My challenge is this: Read and/or write pairings outside of your norm. So many people go "This is my pairing and it is all I ever read and write," but I've found from experience that pushing the boundaries of your "box" can really expand your horizons and you can find great enjoyment.

So find something that you wouldn't necessarily seek out, or at least don't turn away when it comes your way. Give it a try! Give it a go!

I did just this! A/B/O isn't usually my thing (and neither is Clint/Coulson), but I listened to a Clint/Coulson A/B/O story by a podficcer I love. It was a way more awesome than I had anticipated.

A/B/O is pretty much never my thing, for reasons other than you might readily think, honestly. But Clint/Coulson is a good pairing. Kudos to you for giving it a go!
I'm not gay, but $20 is $20.: Sevmywitch on January 6th, 2016 07:46 pm (UTC)
Great challenge idea! I read this wickedly steamy and delicious story by writcraft about Sherlock Holmes and some other dude and even though I don't have a clue about the context, it was saaaamooooooookin' hot! If you like great writing, check it out!!

Awesome! I'll have to take a look at it when I have a moment. I've read a little Sherlock but I've never watched the show.

YES. Fun starts outside your comfort zone.
