You know, I cannot get LJ's scrapbook feature to work no matter what I do.

Every time I try to upload something, it tells me I'm not logged in, but I go to the log in page, and I'm already logged in.

ARG.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Are you by any chance using Firefox? Do you happen to have an addon called LJLogin?

If so, you might as well give up. As long as that addon is active, Scrapbook won't work properly. I read an explanation once from the people who developed the addon. I can't remember exactly why it was, I barely even understood it, but it has to do with the way Scrapbook is programmed and the way LJLogin is programmed. LJLogin's people couldn't get around it.

If this is not it, I'm out of ideas. But it has been a known problem with that addon for years. (Shame though, because it's a really useful addon if you routinely use more than one account, like for example for RPing.)

Yes, to both Firefox and LJLogin. *sigh* I had wondered, but it's too useful an addon to get rid of, as I do RP and have multiple accounts and dial up, which makes signing in and out a pain in the butt.

Thanks so much for letting me know! At least now I'm aware it's not my computer, per se, but the addon...

I had the same troubles back when I did RP and discovered I couldn't use Scrapbook anymore.

I started using Semagic again for posting, though, and I can still upload pictures to scrapbook through there. Of course the actual organisation in Scrapbook is now a HUGE mess, but then again it wasn't particularly easy to see through to begin with either. These days I mainly use Scrapbook for the odd random picture I want to include. If I do a post with more pictures in it, like trip reports and the like, I've taken to using Picasa instead.

Good to know, anyway. I've never used it before, but I thought I might try it.

Photobucket will work okay, I guess. I think I finally sized things down far enough for me to actually upload there again and it not fail.
